Whole-school updates

  • School Performance 'Paint Outside the Lines': Get ready for the show of the year! Performances are scheduled for Thursday 13 August (evening show, students arrive 5:45pm for 6:30pm start) and Friday 14 August (matinee 1:30pm, evening show, students arrive 4:45pm for 5:30pm start) at OLMC. These times were set with SAC input and family feedback, especially for younger students.
  • Performance Ticketing Schedule: Tickets for 'Paint Outside the Lines' will be released in stages via Trybooking (link: trybooking.com/DNLLL). The first release opens Friday 17 July at 10am (3 tickets per family, $20 each), closing Friday 24 July at 10am. An additional ticket release (1 per family) opens Monday 27 July, closing Thursday 30 July at 10am. Any remaining tickets will be available from Friday 31 July for unlimited purchase.
  • Book Week Celebration: Save the date for our annual Book Week on Friday 21 August, with the theme 'Symphony of Stories' 📚! There will be a Morning Parade at the start of school (concluding by 9:20am) on the bottom yard basketball court, and parents, carers, and grandparents are warmly invited to attend. Students are encouraged to dress up as their favourite book character or in theme.
  • Book Week Activities: Following the parade on Friday 21 August, students will enjoy classroom activities and a whole-school picnic lunch on the basketball court. Award-winning author and illustrator Nicky Johnston will also be a special guest, holding sessions throughout the day.
  • New OSHC Provider: MACSEYE is our new Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) provider, taking over next term. An enrolment flyer and fact sheet are included in the newsletter, with a unique enrolment link for St John's Heidelberg families. Sessions will not operate during the holiday period.
  • Whole School Assemblies: Parents are welcome to attend our Whole School Assemblies held on Monday mornings in Term 3. Mark your calendars for SRC Presentation on Monday 27 July, the Year 5 assembly on Monday 10 August, the 4BT assembly on Monday 24 August, and the Prep Father's Day Assembly on Monday 7 September.
