Whole-school updates

  • New Staff Welcomes: Get ready to welcome some new faces to the Wimba Primary team! Mr Dean Dray joins Grade 2D at the start of Term 3, replacing Ms Goodall. Mrs Jessica Gravett will also join Grade 2E at the beginning of Term 3, covering for Mrs Turner's maternity leave. We're also on the hunt for a replacement for Mrs Crowe, who is also going on maternity leave soon.
  • Farewell Integration Aides: A big thank you and best wishes to Lleana and Joelene, two valued Integration Aides, for their dedication and support for our students.
  • Early Finish for Term 2: Heads up, Term 2 wraps up on Friday 26 June with an early dismissal at 1:35pm. Get ready for a well-deserved school holiday break!
  • Term 3 Kicks Off: School resumes for Term 3 on Monday 13 July. We hope everyone enjoys a safe and relaxing break!
  • Book Week Parade: Mark your calendars for the annual Book Week Parade, planned for Week 7 of Term 3 (week of 24 August). More details on this creative celebration of reading will be shared soon.
  • Annual Swimming Program: Students will participate in our annual swimming program at the Saltwater Swimming Centre in Truganina. Years 3-6 will attend during Week 8 of Term 3 (week of 31 August), and Years 1-2 will attend during Week 9 of Term 3 (week of 7 September). More info on costs and timetabling is coming soon, but expect five 45-minute lessons for each student.
