Whole-school updates

  • Curriculum & Wellbeing: Teachers are focusing on sentence construction to improve writing this term, and the Respectful Relationships Education program is rolling out (keep an eye out for an email with details later this week).
  • Book Week (24-28 August): The theme is "Symphony of Stories"! A performance takes place on Tuesday 25 August (permission via School Bytes), followed by a Character Parade and picnic on Friday 28 August (costumes encouraged, but get creative with what you have at home).
  • P&C Events: The Art Exhibition is tomorrow, Wednesday 29 July from 5-7pm. Donut & PJ Day is Friday 7 August (order donuts via Flexischools by 5pm Wednesday 5 August), and save the date for a Movie Night on Wednesday 16 September!
  • Education Week & Community: Public Education Week is Tuesday 4 August (order grazing boxes via Flexischools by 9:30am Friday 31 July). Also, the community is invited to contribute to the Waves of Learning Wall on Thursday 13 August from 9:35am (RSVP to the office).
  • Extracurricular News: A massive week of activities! Congratulations to the debating team for their win against Brooke Avenue PS, our Young Archie winners who attended an art workshop, and the PSSA rugby league and soccer teams for representing the school proudly.
  • Library Reminders: Please check homes for overdue books (one was returned after 640 days!). Also, Scholastic Book Club Issue 5 orders close on Monday 10 August.
