Whole-school updates

  • Staff News: Two beloved members of our staff, Mrs Barb Ady (Arts teacher for 41 years) and Mrs Sue-Ellen Grguric (Learning Support Officer for 19 years), will be retiring at the end of Term 2. We thank them for their incredible dedication to St Augustine's School (Yarraville, VIC) and wish them all the best in retirement.
  • St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal: A huge thank you to everyone who generously supported the Winter Appeal. Your donations will directly assist local families in need during the colder months.
  • Building Works Update: Progress has been slow on various issues like the roof, guttering, and plumbing, but solutions are in place, with efforts to ramp up work during the school holidays.
  • Chess Tournament: Our Chess Team recently finished equal 4th in the GS Chess Interschool Tournament, with a student achieving 2nd overall! The Chess Club continues to meet every Thursday in the Library at lunchtime, and new members are welcome.
  • Cow Decoration Competition: The 'Design and Name the Cow' competition winners have been chosen! 5 winning designs will be combined to decorate both sides of the school cow.
  • Community Fair: Exciting news! This year St Augustine's School (Yarraville, VIC) will host its first combined parish schools fair. More details on this big community event are coming soon.
