  • Welcome, Deputy Principal: We extend a huge welcome to Andrew, our new Deputy Principal! He's already loving the kindness and respect shown by students and looks forward to getting to know more families.
  • 125th Anniversary Celebrations: The Principal, Eliza, is joining students at the New Farm Historical Society Meeting on Saturday 25 July to celebrate the school's 125 years. Keep an eye out for a special display at the New Farm Library throughout August.
  • Curriculum Updates: Term 3 Curriculum Overviews will be shared on Schoolzine over the coming days. English learning this term focuses on spoken language, with Prep students retelling and Years 1-6 exploring persuasive contexts.
  • ICAS Assessments (Years 2-6): Registrations for the ICAS assessments close on Monday 27 July at 11:59pm AEST. Assessments will be held in the STEM Room at 8:00am, with students needing to arrive 10 minutes early with a fully charged iPad. The Parent Code is SAG372.
  • Instrumental Music Honours: Two students successfully auditioned for the Northside Honours Band Music Workshop, representing New Farm SS in flute and tuba. They were part of a concert band formed from over 30 state schools!
  • World Record Holders: A big shout-out to two students who were part of over 600 trombones performing in Ipswich, setting a new world record for the largest trombone ensemble!
