Whole-school updates

  • Term 2 Highlights: Students shone in High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) programs, mathematics skill groups, and leadership events like GRIP Leadership and SRC meetings. Our verse speaking, choirs, and instrumentalists achieved outstanding success at the Arts Festival, and dancers rocked the Far North Coast Dance Festival!
  • Sporting Success: Students represented Tweed Murwillumbah PSSA in zone teams and carnivals. Our girls' basketball team played their Round 5 match yesterday (Wednesday 1 July), and we have a student representing in State Band. Well done, team!
  • Staffing Update: We bid a fond farewell to Mrs Kester, who is transferring south. Mrs Scott will teach 1K for the remainder of the year, Mrs Phillips will move to library technology, and Miss Duffey will take over MultiLit, Stage 2/3 Maths groups, and individual support.
  • Reports & Meetings: Student reports were sent home last week. If you'd like to discuss your child's report, please contact the school office to arrange an appointment with their teacher.
  • Athletics Carnival Reschedule: Our school Athletics Carnival, postponed due to wet weather, is now on this Friday (3 July) at Murwillumbah High School! All students will walk to the high school to participate in track and field events. Ribbons will be presented early in Term 3.
  • Term 3 Start Dates: Term 3 begins for staff with a Staff Development Day on Monday 20 July (no school for students). Students return on Tuesday 21 July.
