Whole-school updates

  • Term 3 Dates: Term 3 kicks off on Monday 13 July. Heads up for two student-free days next term: a Curriculum Day on Thursday 23 July and an SSG Day on Tuesday 4 August. The last day of Term 3 will be Friday 18 September, with an early 12:45pm finish.
  • A Term of Creativity: What a showcase of talent! Highlights included the first-ever KCHSFest film festival, a brilliant Teddy's Talent Show, and a creative writing competition with winners to be announced next term. Huge props to all the students who put their work out there!
  • Probability Carnival Fun: Maths came to life with the Probability Carnival, where students in Years 7-10 designed and ran their own games of chance. It was a fantastic display of hands-on learning, with special mentions for Best Game and Best Host.
  • Pathways and Expos: Students have been busy exploring their futures. Year 10-12 students attended the Careers Expo, while female and gender diverse students from Years 7-12 got to explore hands-on careers at the Trade and Tech Expo.
  • Disability Inclusion Update: The school has now completed 33 Disability Inclusion Profiles, a process that helps tailor support for students. The funding helps strengthen the allied health team, run engagement programs, and provide ongoing staff training. A big thank you to all the families who have participated.
  • Facility Upgrades & Advocacy: School Council is pushing for facility improvements and has written to our local MP, Ellen Sandell. Families are encouraged to also write in support! On the security front, the perimeter fencing project has received heritage approval and should be completed by the end of 2026.
