Whole-school updates

  • Principal's Message: Welcome back to Term 3! Principal Nick Thomson uses a 400m race analogy, describing Term 3 as the 'final bend' where students push themselves, try new strategies, and make remarkable leaps in their learning.
  • Successful Learner Habit: This term's focus is on 'Thinking-Monitor' - being responsible for our own thinking, knowing when to focus, collaborate, or seek feedback. Encourage your children to ask themselves which learning habit they need to use.
  • Learning Partnership Meetings: Teachers will meet with parents and learners next week (starting Monday 27 July) to discuss Semester 1 progress and set Semester 2 goals. Check your SchoolBytes parent portal for your booking details, and contact the office if you missed booking a time.
  • Open Day & Performing Arts Showcase: Our annual Open Day is on Tuesday 4 August, with the theme 'Inspiring Excellence'. Families are invited to the Performing Arts Showcase at 12:20pm, which will also include the Semester 2 SRC Induction Assembly. Parents of Semester 2 SRC students will receive an email invitation.
  • Canteen Warmers: The canteen is offering homemade soups, potato pies, kebabs, and spinach & ricotta rolls to keep everyone warm. The Hot Chocolate & Cookie Combo is just $2.00 on Spriggy or over the counter before school/at recess.
  • Canteen on Open Day: The canteen will be open on Open Day (Tuesday 4 August) for picnic lunches. Pre-order via Spriggy, using your child's name and class, for delivery to classrooms at 1:00pm. Additional snacks/drinks will be available over the counter (cash only). Please avoid sending large denomination notes.
