  • Principal's Welcome Back: Principal Michelle Nicholson is back in her substantive role for Term 3, expressing gratitude to the community and staff for a smooth transition and thanking Mr. Timothy Lloyd, Mrs. Ellie Auld, Dr. Debra Kelliher, and Mrs. Kylie Adams for their leadership during her absence.
  • Primary Area Renovations: Exciting renovation works are happening in the Primary area during the school break to accommodate the Multi-categorical Support Class. Families are reminded that the school grounds are a work site and children should not enter for safety reasons. The school hopes to showcase the new additions by Education Week.
  • Community Support: A huge thank you to the Guyra Lions for their generous $2,200 donation, which will be used to complete internal fencing for the Agricultural area of the school, as presented at their July Changeover meeting on Wednesday 1 July.
  • School Attendance: A vital reminder that regular and punctual school attendance is crucial for your child's learning, development, and success. Please notify the school as soon as possible with a reason for any absences to ensure compliance with education regulations.
  • Cross Country Recap: Guyra Central School held its annual Primary Cross Country Carnival on Friday 24 April, seeing outstanding participation and sportsmanship across all year levels, including a fun Mini Cross Country for Infants.
  • ANZAC Day Commemorations: The school observed ANZAC Day with a meaningful assembly on Friday 24 April, and students proudly participated in the official ANZAC March on Saturday 25 April, demonstrating respect for veterans and service members.
