  • Principal's Welcome: A big welcome back to Term 3! The Principal acknowledged the recent disruption from the Australian Education Union's industrial action and thanked the community for their patience, expressing hope for a quick resolution.
  • Performing Arts Showcase: Get ready for the first ever BHS Performing Arts Showcase on Friday 31 July and Saturday 1 August! Students have been working incredibly hard across singing, dancing, acting, mime, and bands. Tickets are available via Compass Tix and your support would mean the world to our talented performers.
  • House Music Competition: Mark your calendars for the annual House Music Competition, now rescheduled for the last day of Term 3, Friday 18 September. This change ensures performers can participate in both the Showcase and represent their Houses.
  • Respectful Communication: A friendly reminder about maintaining respectful and courteous communication with staff. If you have significant concerns, please direct them to your child's House Leader, Assistant Principal, or the Principal for constructive resolution.
  • Visual Arts Award: A 2025 Art Making and Exhibiting student has won First Prize in the 2026 Top Arts People's Choice Awards at the National Gallery of Victoria for their 'Birds and People Series' artwork, receiving a $1,500 cash prize. This is a fantastic recognition of hard work and creativity!
